What's New / VP44

VP44 - Environment Friendly and Powerful

In contrast to conventional distributor injection pumps, the radial-piston pump VP 44 generates injection pressure by means of radial pistons and controls injection by a high-speed solenoid valve. It is able to generate pressures of up to 1950 bar in the nozzle. The associated control unit is attached to the pump.

There are three vital components: the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), a high pressure solenoid valve and an angle-of-rotation sensor. Together they get the maximum performance from the engine's available torque curve, for outstanding fuel economy and lower emissions.

The ECU has additional features to improve performance and can exchange data with other on-board systems.

As well as being easily adaptable, small and light, it promises superb performance with up to 1,600 bar fuel pressure at the nozzle.
